Most Zelectrics are built to order.
So it's rare for us to have any standing inventory. When we have select vehicles that are currently in-house and ready for rebuild commission, you'll find them here. Once in a blue moon, we may have a completely retrofitted Zelectric that's turnkey-ready for delivery.
Sedans start at $75,000 complete, with additional custom-ordered upgrades available. Less common sunroof (ragtop) models generally run $10,000 - $15,000 higher and rare convertibles and Ghias can add an additional $20,000 or more. Microbuses and Porsches tend to run over $100,000. Build time currently runs 6-9 months from the time work begins.

The Honeymoon Bug: it was the ultimate wedding gift back in the sixties. Bride and groom took off in their shiny new Beetle to see the world. Many years and hundreds of thousands of miles later, the little Bug eventually slowed down and came to rest in their driveway. Fourteen years passed.
But this is a story with a temporary ending and a fresh new beginning. Restoration on this original-owner 1965 Ruby Red was recently completed with a full Zelectric retrofit including 100-mile range, Tesla battery pack, and more than twice its original horsepower with top speed 100+mph. Now reborn electric, it’s designed to be driven, and happily back on the road again.

For a full list of candidates for the Zelectric rebuild click here. If you already own a perfect candidate in prime condition, a Zelectric retrofit is possible. The base price for the client-owned Beetle, Ghia or Thing rebuild is $56,000. Microbuses $63,000 and Porsches $75,000. Or, if you don't already have the VW or Porsche you've always wanted, we will find it.
About Beetles: from an investment perspective, the best candidates are models built from 1958 through 1966 or 1967. These years represent the sweet spot - where Beetles offer the best combination of collectibility and drivability. Parts are easily available. And because stock appearance is never compromised, their values continue to climb over time.
